Alex Pérez
Alex is a senior analyst with the European Power team at Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables, where he focuses on the long term power modelling for Europe.
He previously worked at National Grid, developing European power scenarios and sensitivities and contributing to research and modelling projects on electrification of demand, flexibility and storage. He also worked as an energy analyst for Good Energy in the UK and as a short-term forecasting manager at Nexus Energia in Spain, helping with renewable generation forecasting, pricing and interconnector trading. Alex has over twelve years of experience in the energy industry and a previous career as facility project engineer.
Alex holds a master’s degree in Statistics and Operations Research, a post degree in Electric Vehicles and Renewables from CITCEA-UPC and an undergraduate degree in Industrial engineering from UPC Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
